WARNING: Making your own clothing is addicting. You won’t be able to wear store bought clothes the same way again. You'll feel great receiving public compliments on your new threads. There is nothing better than being able to say, “Thank you, I made it!”

ENTRY LEVEL SEWING

COVERS BASIC KNOWLEDGE SUCH AS:

Machine basics, parts, and tensions
Tools like scissors, thread, & pins
Winding bobbins & threading needles
Various stitch types such as straight, curved, & back
Patterning
Fabrics
Materials

MATERIALS NEEDED:
Bring your own sewing machine or rent one from Jess for $25.
Please have personal machines approved by Jess before attending.

Please bring several t-shirts as Jess will help you create an up-cycled tote bag!

SKILLS NEEDED:
No prior knowledge or experience necessary. This is a beginner class for those brand new to sewing or those looking to brush up on basics.

You will create an entire upcycled clothing item from start to finish. Please bring any items you wish to repurpose.

SKILLS NEEDED:
This class is for moderate sewers who have graduated from entry level classes. You will be expected to have mastered basic skills.

This class is for advanced sewers who have graduated from moderate level classes. You will be expected to have mastered moderate skills. Skill mastery is approved upon discretion of Jess West Costumes.
