WARNING: making your own clothes is highly addicting! You won’t be able to go back to wearing store bought clothes the same way ever again. Not to mention how great it feels to be in public receiving boat loads of compliments on your new threads! There is nothing better than being able to say, “Thank you, I made it!”
ENTRY LEVEL
WHAT ARE WE LEARNING???
You will be learning basic sewing knowledge from threading the machine/winding bobbins to operating multiple stitch types. There will be info on fabrics, measurements, and more. During this course you will be graduating with basic sewing knowledge and a brand new tote bag you made yourself from upcycled T-Shirts (students supply shirts)!!! The skills learned in this course will allow you to advance into moderate and accelerated courses in the future.
Skill Level Description: Experience is very little to none. This is for those looking to brush up on entry level skills or beginners wanting to learn from scratch.

MODERATE LEVEL UPCYCLING
WHAT WILL WE LEARN?
This class will be the next step in mastering the sewing machine! You will be putting all the skills you gained in the entry level classes to the test. During this class you will be creating your very own basic clothing item from beginning to end. This will include: fabric selection, pattern making, assembly to finished product.
Skill Level Description: This class is for moderate sewers who have graduated from entry level classes. You must have mastered the skills listed in the MODERATE COURSE LIST and ready to advance your skills. You will be creating upcycled projects, patterns, selecting proper fabrics, making clothing, costumes, accessories, or home decor from start to finish!

ADVANCED LEVEL
WHAT WILL WE LEARN?
These classes are for experienced sewing! Must have passed the entry and moderate level classes. Passing the prior courses to attend advanced level courses is up to the discretion of Jess West Costumes. You will be making tons of new items from beginning to end. There will be multiple classes to sign up for! You will be choosing from a variety of categories such as:
